It's been an interesting ride this past month down at J.J.'s Shamrock in Marquette. First of all, it's a really cool old bar up on the banks above the lower harbor. Also, the owner and the folks that work there are the best.
My first performance there the place was packed and I met some really great folks. It was the kind of gig this old porker needed. I got back to the Sty that night and kept the methane lamps burning all night long high on adrenaline.
That was that folks. It's been a little dead the last 2 nights. Back to reality. I have continued to meet some really nice folks, but the numbers are way down. (WAY down) It's funny when you speculate on such things how folks are so nice & supportive and say things like, "Well, ya know, the weather, the hockey games, the outhouse races, the chuck hole out front, etc......" I appreciate all that, but I also think, "There's got to be something I can do more than what I'm doing to make this place jump."
Let's see.....how about signs out front advertising "Nude pig plays piano with ALL his digits?" Yeh, that's it. O.K......I've got a good working idea on my very first try. Thanks for listening. I have to go make a sign & then practice with all my other digits.
